The most successful meetup so far as attendance goes 9 people showed up and among others some first timers. Nice to see! Looking forward to the next one at Jacques’ place on the 7 February!

This Croissant Sofa from Muleh furniture is striking: made from coconut-leaf core and steal, it consists of a giant, horseshoe-shaped hollow and airy tube with cushion between the horseshoe’s arms.
Well, a bit of a dust catcher in my opinion. Tim Allen might have a good idea on how to keep the dust to a minimum
The new Sandvox web aauthoring application that is to compete with Apple’siWeb can be found here. I haven’t tried the app yet, but give it a go. Since the system requirements are quite steep on the iLife ’06, you might not need or be able to run the full package, so Sandvox might be your best bet if you are in the need of a web authoring application.
Mike Evangelist on writersblocklive.com has mentioned it before and apparently it was the case this time.
There should have been “one more thing” to Steve Jobs keynote at MacWorld the other day, but one noted Mac writer said a well-placed Apple polisher told him the black-turtlenecked one’s speech had to be adjusted at the last minute.
According to David A. Utter on webpronews.com who quotes Leander Kahney on Wired.
Way cooler than remplacements for the 12′ and 17′ PBs… G5 remplacements? Or what? I must admit that the keynote seemed a bit like a re-run when the iLife demo was on – new features yes – but nothing ground breaking… Only time or Steve will tell…
Just discovered digg.com, a web site were you decide what news are interesting. Most of them are tech related in some way or another. Learned about dottunes.net this way.
Gadgets are a new category of mini-application designed to provide information, useful lookup, or enhance an application or service on your Windows PC or the Web
Another example of Microsoft trying to implement something that already exists on the Mac OS and then call it new! Anyway, it will probably just be another way to infect the Windows world with viruses…
Apparently, Apple has finally begun accepting orders from private individuals living in Luxembourg. The store is not yet “really” online as the entry URL is for entreprises only. However tracking the package goes through this link http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/luxstore?type=bizbelfrLUX&qprm=82404&orderStatusSelfService=yes. I have successful ordered and almost received an item (the TNT guy passed here today), so I guess you could say that the store is open.
je viens de téléphoner au num. du site et ils m’ont dit qu’il n’y a pas de problème pour se faire livrer au Luxembourg, en plus ils m’ont proposer de me faire un cadeau ou une remise si je commande.
In short it is possible to order and receive delivery in Luxembourg, and they even offered the caller a gift or a discount if he would place an order
So use this link to enter. Eventually this one should take you to the Luxembourg front page… Currently it is redirecting to the Belgian Apple page for iPod and iTunes…app
